Jim Putnam started Putnam Distributors in 1968. Soon thereafter, he began using this warehouse up until 1975.

Jim Putnam build the first phase of Putnam Distributors in it's current location in 1975. Since then, he has added additions to it three times and has around 25 full and part-time employees.

Since 1968, Putnams Distributors, a friendly independent family owned business, has sold and distributed automotive oils, chemicals, parts, and supplies for all types of automobiles and trucks.

We have sales and delivery around an approximate 100 mile radius of Shelby, NC, as well as walk-in counter sales. We sell to individuals as well resellers, including single units, cases, 5-gallon buckets, 55-gallon drums, pallets, totes, and bulk.
